On Monday, 28 March, at 6.45 pm, at our Al Chiar di Luna structure, there will be the presentation of "Verso Mdp2023" a preview of the activities linked to Monte di Procida, Città dello Sport 2023. Francesco Moser, the famous former cyclist of the 1970s and 1980s, will celebrate this crucial moment for the municipality.
The Trentino champion's presence is no coincidence: he has repeatedly been a protagonist in the stages of the Giro d'Italia hosted in Campania. Moser's presence in Monte di Procida further strengthens the solid bond between Trentino and Campania, thanks also to the twelve years of presence of SSC Napoli in Val di Sole for the pre-season summer retreat. Moser himself will announce in Monte di Procida a new initiative that links him to Dimaro Folgarida and Val di Sole on the occasion of Napoli's next training camp. Francesco Moser, a guest of the mayor Giuseppe Pugliese, will open a series of events that will see Monte di Procida as the host municipality of internationally renowned athletes. Among them will be Davide Tizzano, Italian rower and president of the confederations of the Mediterranean Games, Olympians such as the brothers Pino and Franco Porzio, Sandro Cuomo and Pino Maddaloni, and also Italian football personalities such as Ottavio Bianchi.
During the event, Francesco Moser will talk about his incredible career, and there will also be an opportunity to introduce the Naples and Campi Flegrei stage of the Giro d'Italia 2022. It had been since 2013 that the Giro d'Italia had continued in Naples. On 14 May 2022, on the occasion of the 105th edition of the tour, there will be the long-awaited return to the Campania capital, with the cyclists who will also cross the Campi Flegrei, 45 years after the last time, exactly 20 May 1977. And it was precisely in 1977 that Moser was a great protagonist. Franco Porzio and Ussi national president Gianfranco Coppola will be on stage during the event. The event will be broadcast live on TV Luna starting at 7 pm.

We wanted to start this long journey towards Mdp2023 with his presence, an appointment that this administration strongly wanted and that fills us with pride and emotion. Some of these appointments will be illustrated during the presentation evening".
