On Thursday, 8 February, at 8:00 p.m., we are honoured to host the Napoletani nel Mondo Award, Neapolitans in the World. It will be a very vibrant evening dedicated to Naples and its artists.

The first edition of the “Napoletani nel Mondo” Award aims to recognise and reward excellence in Naples. The event will be held on Thursday, February 8, at the Al Chiar di Luna tourist complex in Monte di Procida, located in Via Amedeo, 89.

The prize, promoted by "Napoletani nel mondo", the web TV broadcast on digital terrestrial channels 68, 209 and 268, was born to give prestige to Neapolitan artists who excelled in their activities and promoted the image of Naples in the world. The evening's hosts, under the artistic direction of Luigi Rubiconti, are Angela Bertamino and Imma Illiano.

The award-winners who will take the stage are: 

Gianni Parisi is a film actor loved by many great directors in Italy and abroad. Starring in television serials, from Gomorra to I bastardi di Pizzofalcone, he is an unforgettable performer in classic Neapolitan theatre;

Ciro Capano, from the tradition of the song Di Giacca to the undisputed star of Paolo Sorrentino's film The Hand of God, winner of the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival and an Oscar nominee;

Domenico Sepe, a renowned artist who sculpted the statue of Diego Armando Maradona, the Revealed Christ and a statue dedicated to football player Paolo Rossi

Luigi Libra, ambassador of Neapolitan song in the world, creator of the Terra Viva project for the promotion and enhancement of the territory and excellence of Naples and Campania; 

Angelo Di Gennaro, a Neapolitan actor. He likes to define himself as "the comedian at the service of the citizen". During his career, he has made numerous television appearances and starred in national films, always managing to amuse audiences of all ages;

Giovanni Mauriello, an extraordinary musician and great theatre and film actor, founder of the della Nuova Compagnia di Canto Popolare musical group (literally the "new folk singing company") also known as NCCP.

Carlo Faiello is a singer-songwriter, composer, musicologist, researcher, expert and promoter of Neapolitan popular music. Furthermore, he is the artistic director of many events dedicated to Naples' history and musical tradition.

Luigi Rubiconti, the event's Artistic Director. He stated: "During this first edition, we decided to award those artists who are custodians of Neapolitan identity. I mean, people who have exported and spread the musical and artistic tradition of our splendid city, Naples, worldwide. We want to reward and recognise this image: the essence belonging to Naples and the Neapolitans".

The evening event will end with a concert by Lello Pugliese's Swing Orchestra.
