Anniversary of the Port of Ischia and Pleasure Sailing Event

King Ferdinand II of Bourbon decided to remove a narrow strip of land separating the natural crater lake known as the "lake of the baths" and transform it into a seaport. Works began in 1853, and the new port was inaugurated on 17 September 1854.

To celebrate the anniversary of the Port of Ischia, the LNI ISOLA D'ISCHIA SECTION, with the collaboration of VELA LATINA MONTE DI PROCIDA and the Municipality of Ischia, organized a yachting event on 17 and 18 September.

The programme: 

SATURDAY 17 SEPTEMBER

12:00 sailing on the route Monte di Procida - Porto Ischia

SUNDAY 18 SEPTEMBER

12:00 sailing on the coastal route in the waters of Ischia
