Easter in Monte di Procida
Al Chiar di Luna is located in Monte di Procida, one of the municipalities of the Campi Flegrei. You can easily reach it from Naples via the tangenziale (ring road). Monte di Procida is a beautiful destination for Easter and Easter Monday, either for lunch or a weekend getaway. You can walk on the beach or along some trails, such as the Torrefumo trail. Amidst the many attractions, boat excursions are also available. In particular, Monte di Procida has a deep-rooted tradition for Lateen Rig sailboats.
The best-known Easter recipe in Monte di Procida
The initiative titled "Re Casatiello" is coming back! The event/competition is dedicated to the sweet version of the Easter Casatiello cake of Monte di Procida, protected by the De.Co. (Denominazione Comunale di Origine or "Municipal Denomination of Origin"). The appointment is scheduled for Saturday, 8 April, at 6:00 p.m. at the Pala Pippo Coppola of Monte di Procida. To join the competition, just hand in your Casatiello Dolce before 5:30 p.m. on the day of the competition. The casatielli cakes will be judged anonymously by placing little flags. Participation is free and open to everyone up to a maximum of 20 Casatielli cakes. The "Re Casatiello" Committee, the Municipality of Monte di Procida and the Pro Loco Monte di Procida (organisations aimed at local promotion) co-organise the event.
Usually, the Neapolitan Casatiello is salty stuffed bread, while Monte di Procida and other localities in the province of Naples have their sweet variant.

Easter 2023 Menu
This menu proposes a delicious gastronomic experience with sea and land options to satisfy every palate. We start with the appetiser, which includes Calzoncello cicoli and ricotta. Half-moon shaped, it is a stuffed salty pizza with toasted leftovers from the fatty parts of the pig and ricotta cheese. Then, you can savour a tasty Micro casatiello con pomata al pecorino (savoury rustic cake) with pecorino cheese cream, Polpetta friarielli e 'nduja (meatball with turnip greens and 'nduja which is a spicy, spreadable pork sausage), Broad Beans and Pancetta (salt-cured pork belly meat). As sort the seafood menu, the starter is a Schiacciatina di Patate (a sort of unleavened potato pizza), bass with citrus fruits and garden mixed salad, followed by the first course of Vialone Nano Risotto rice, Artichokes 2.0, Clams and Parsley Chlorophyll. The main course is an exquisite Whitefish Escalope, semi-crud Escarole, seawater emulsion and mussels. The land menu includes a Parmigiana di Carciofi (artichoke parmigiana) stuffed with soft beef, provola cheese, and corbarino tomato essence. The first course comprises a handmade Cannellone pasta stuffed with veal ragout and porcini mushrooms with a mousse of baby peas; the main course consists of Agnello allardiato (literally "larded"; it refers to the addition of pork lard) with creamy broad beans and potato "geometry". You will definitely delight your senses with this menu and enjoy Easter flavours in an unforgettable experience.
Kids Menu
Kids Menu is specially conceived to enjoy a delicious and fun meal. Let's start with a simple and tasty Ham and Mozzarella cheese appetiser, perfect to staple the initial hunger. The first course is an Italian classic recipe, Pennette al sugo, a pasta-based dish with rich and flavorful tomato sauce. The second course consists of a Cutlet served with crispy chips, loved most by all children. Finally, to conclude on a sweet note, we propose a dessert that will drive them crazy: a lovely surprise suited to their needs and palate. This menu is specially designed to fit the tastes, making the meal fun and tasty at the same time.
