A new project is born at Al Chiar di Luna, a hotel and location for events. A new moon shining in all its beauty: the Novilunio is a restaurant, bistrot and bar.

The restaurant is open from 7.30 p.m. to midnight, while the bar is open from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

The Novilunio is an exceptional gastronomic experience where you can enjoy delicious food on the splendid terrace overlooking the sea of the Campi Flegrei, with a breathtaking view of Ischia, Procida, Ventotene and Ponza

On the terrace, you can relax with an aperitif at sunset or savour a glass of wine on summer nights. 

During the evening, you can admire the panorama with the lights of the islands in the distance and on the top floor, you can enjoy a 360-degree view: we are surrounded by enchanting places.

On one end, there is Lake Fusaro, the Casina Vanvitelliana, the Roman beach and Cuma in the distance, the islands of the Gulf and much more.

Our cuisine is an authentic celebration of Neapolitan tradition, with a particular focus on seafood dishes.

Domenico Mazzella, Al Chiar di Luna’s CEO

 

Domenico Mazzella, born in 72, is a visionary businessman who built his project based on his experience in the restaurant industry. Since he was a teenager, thanks to his great passion for travel, he has been visiting about 50 countries worldwide. So he has brought to Monte di Procida and Al Chiat di Luna some tiny "pieces" and "experiences" from every territory he has explored. Incredibly passionate about IT, he has transferred state-of-the-art high-tech know-how to his company with a complex home automation system throughout the facility and the best audio-lighting systems on the market. Every day is a continuous and unstoppable evolution: IT knows no break because of the speed of progress and innovation. Moreover, he is profoundly active and engaged in the associative life of Monte di Procida and Campi Flegrei.

Domenico has always been a reference point as an entrepreneur for cultural activities, events and territorial promotion of the area.

In recent years, he has undergone a crucial entrepreneurial transition: from restaurant owner and leader in the events sector to hotel manager, he has completed an all-around guest experience: from food and wine to the territory, from the event to the business or leisure stay. 

In 2019, he launched the business network "Campi Flegrei Active" with 50 entrepreneurs from the area. The territorial aggregation project promoted and coordinated by Federalberghi Campi Flegrei aimed to fund an entity performing Destination Management functions for the entire Phlegrean territory.

In December 2022, as a founding partner, he supported the birth of the Pro Loco of Monte di Procida, an organisation intended to promote the territory in such an important year for the municipality, being named "European Municipality of Sports 2023". 

In 2022, with Al Chiar di Luna's contribution, he joined the "Authentic Monte di Procida" project. In other words, people from Monte di Procida talk about their territory. This project for Monte di Procida was awarded by SMAU (an acronym for office machines and equipment exhibition) as Innovation 2022 for its impact on the territory and innovative use of crowdfunding as a tool for development and territorial marketing.
