From November 25, 2022, two bus shuttles will connect the most beautiful and significant places in the Campi Flegrei: a free service that will make visiting this wonderful land more accessible and comfortable.
From November 25, 2022, to January 15, 2023, you can reach the area's archaeological sites with this service planned and financed by Regione Campania. The initiative is part of the activities scheduled within the Procida Capital of Culture 2022 framework.
Daedalo was born: an essential project for developing tourism in the Phlegraean area that owes its name to a legend. It is based on Daedalus, who flew away from Crete and arrived at the top of the city of Cumae to found the temple of Apollo. Moreover, this name suggests the rich Phlegrean road network, thus juxtaposed to Minos's labyrinth, which Daedalus himself designed. Which one better than its builder can guide visitors through this intricate network, leading them to their destination and letting them discover the beauty of this land?

During this pre-Christmas period and all holidays until January 15, 2023, from Thursday to Sunday, from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., two shuttle buses will be providing their service. With approximately 30 seats each, they will operate 10 daily circular trips around the Campi Flegrei. The scheduled stops include the following sites of archaeological and cultural interest: Macellum of Pozzuoli, Rione Terra, Flavian Amphitheatre, Cuma Archaeological Park, Campi Flegrei Archaeological Museum in the Baia Castle, Baia Underwater Park, Baia Thermal Baths Archaeological Park, Piscina Mirabilis and the Casina Vanvitelliana.
The two shuttles will cover two different routes, with their meeting point at the port of Baia to make your visit to the Campi Flegrei easier. From here, passengers can move from one bus to another to visit all the interesting points. The route of the first shuttle includes a series of stops marked by special signs installed at the Eav bus stops. This shuttle departs from Pozzuoli, heading for Cuma, Lake Averno and Baia (Bacoli) and then returns to Pozzuoli. The second shuttle starts its tour at Torregaveta station and then continues to Monte di Procida, Miseno, Baia (Bacoli), with a return and subsequent departure again from Torregaveta.
This pilot service is totally free of charge and all you need to do is to get the ticket "Dedalo Pass" within the dedicated section on the platform SVR di campania>artecard.
The free purchase ends with the receipt of the "Procida Insieme" card, which entitles Artecard holders to have reserved seats to enjoy the marvellous shows in the rich Procida 2022 programme.
